Like most people my age, I spent many years in the ’80s trying different hair gels and having a big Studio by L’Oreal moment through most of middle school. The Mondrian packaging, those cool kids in the commercial—it was just hard to resist! Those were the days when I could have tested wind shear for the FAA after school and still come home with every hair in place. It’s a bad sign when your hair hurts if you try to run your hands through it.

After years of styling fashion shoots and working with the best hair stylists, I finally found my yellow brick road, and it lead me to Bumble and Bumble’s Grooming Crème. Bumble calls it "The dream crème for those who love to look polished, elegant, and smooth but hate to work at it." So basically, lazy bums like me who like their morning regimen to take five minutes tops. I admit it ain’t cheap at $26 a bottle, but it’s less than some others I’ve seen and you definitely get what you pay for. I like that it starts out wet-looking, but then dries gradually and leaves your hair looking natural and like, well, hair. When your date runs their fingers through your hair after a great night out, neither of you will get hurt. I promise.
