Leonardo DiCaprio clearly isn't a fan of dressing up. He does it when he has to—and it should be noted often very well—whether it's at the Oscars or when he's speaking on the impending doom that is Global Climate Change. But most of the time, our boy Leo prefers cargo shorts and slip-on shoes. That's fine(ish) for a 41-year-old superstar who vapes and rides Citibikes and hits nightclubs, but when you're meeting the President, we expect a certain level of attention to detail—particularly when it comes to one's grooming regimen. And while we took note of DiCaprio's suit (one with an appropriate amount of blandness for serious government talks) and slicked hair in a photo posted to Twitter by the White House, he made the fatal flaw of forgetting to shave before linking up with Obama. Specifically, it's his neckbeard that is really making our eye twitch. And neck beard maintenance is the difference between "looks fine" and "looks great" 9 times out of ten.

This isn't a one-time issue for Leo. The photo at the top of this article was taken on September 16, and still the man's neckbeard is all up in his face's follicle business. The same was true when he attended a music festival with Rihanna back in April.

We're not saying President Obama cares even a little bit about Leo's grooming habits. The man's got much bigger things to worry about, like running a country and doing his best to ensure America's biggest proponent of extended-length red silk ties doesn't somehow con his way into the White House. Still, this isn't about what Obama thinks, it's about respecting the man enough to go the extra mile so that your neckbeard doesn't have the chance to get in the way of more important discussions. Oh, and as for what Obama and DiCaprio were discussing when this photo was taken? Well, Twitter as expected has a lot of thoughts on that.

We're not holding our breath, but we're hoping Leo finds a razor between now and his South by South Lawn climate change talk with POTUS. The obvious solution would be to shave off the neck beard entirely, but the real pro move is to get an electric razor and fade shorter neck hairs up to one's face.
