Prince Harry's New Beard Is Regal, But Won't Last Long

Grooming news from across the seas: Prince Harry has grown a beard. Shocks were sent through the halls of Buckingham Palace, Parliament, and Internet screens across the country as his facial hair made its debut yesterday at a Battle of Britain Flypast (sort of like a Civil War Reenactment). It's looking a little unkempt, but we're gonna chalk that up to the fact that its probably pretty fresh, as he was recently seen clean-shaven. It's nothing that couldn't be maintained with a quick trim, though.

There's no word yet on what his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II thinks of his new endeavor, but she famously ordered him to shave back in January 2014. An insider with an unhealthy amount of knowledge about royal protocol described the situation back then: "She doesn’t mind royal men growing beards when they are away in the armed forces or out in the wilds, like Harry was in the Antarctic, but she expects them to be clean shaven when they get home. Royal staff are not supposed to grow beards or mustaches, and she probably thinks it is difficult to enforce that rule when her own grandson has a beard."

So, however great this new growth looks, chances are, it's time on earth is limited. Let it be known throughout the land: Grandmothers hate beards.
