You know when your buddy shows up to the bar and you realize you look like the Madame Tussauds wax statue versions of each other? Like, not exactly the same, but similar enough? That happened to Brad Pitt and Ryan Gosling last night at the premiere of "The Big Short" in New York when they both arrived with different versions of the same haircut. They already look alike, and the eye-grazing bangs just sealed the deal.

If anyone is in the wrong here it’s Pitt, who, for the record, normally nails it in the grooming department. The combination of the tinted blue glasses and his throwback Johnny Depp-level bangs is a lot, and there’s something a bit conservative about the suit in contrast. Gosling’s shorter version of the haircut and artsy, downtown-guy tie and jacket feel more cool and cohesive as a look. Comparing these two handsome, supremely stylish men would normally be a really boring exercise but in this case, c’mon, how can you not?

And that’s why "twinning" is a word you never want to hear when you’re out with your friends, looking for love or just a good time. It’ll only result in unfair comparisons or, at best, a very silly feeling in the pit of your stomach.
