Around this week every year, I get a flock of chapped-mouth souls asking me if I have any lip balm. I probably get sent testers of that more than anything else as our grooming editor, but one of my favorites I rarely have on hand. There's this rare strand of Burt's Bees, (medicated, with clove oil), that I judiciously rationed in the winter of 2008. Then it got lost in the washing machine and I never found another store that sold it. Over the holiday break, I was visiting my family in Austin, and stopped into a suburban outpost of Bed Bath & Beyond with my mom. Apparently, "Beyond" includes all the Burt's Bees B-sides. I stocked up on the stuff when I saw it. It's calming, a little spicy, and has actual hydrating results. I can also safely say it's the only purchase I've ever been satisfied with at a Bed Bath & Beyond so there's that, too...
