So far in 2016, Justin Bieber has (mostly) repaired his public image, kept the momentum of his hit album Purpose going, suited up for his first GQ cover story, and got choked in a club. All the things most complicated, if silly, 22-year-olds go through, right? But Bieber's hair has had the wilder year. In the last few months alone, he's been blond, then gotten dreads (ugh), but now seems dedicated to starting from scratch in the best way a guy can—by opting for a buzz cut.
Now, this is less Britney Spears–circa-2007-meltdown hair and more likely Bieber's effort to gear up for summer. What separates Justin's buzz from a messy DIY job is the mix of lengths and the professionally executed fade. That means that, as with a regular haircut, the hair on the sides of his head is shorter than on top, which keeps it from the dreaded "tennis-ball effect."
We're also glad to see that Bieber opted for a very GQ-inspired slim-fit dress shirt, as opposed to the oversize athleisure/high-fashion hybrid he normally steps out in. (As for those jeans, well, we can only assume the tiger had something to do with that much shredded-ness.) The combo of the hair, said shirt, and those slick Chelsea boots is telling us that Bieber's style is growing up, too. At least that's what we belieb.
