Hugh Dancy is, by all accounts, an absurdly attractive dude but he’s also a human male in his 40s which means he’s kind of losing his hair. Just, you know, a little bit in the front. Of all the ways to lose your hair—in the back, in the front, or both at once—a receding hairline is by far the most workable. That said, anytime you’re trying to hide the fact that you’re balding from those around you, you’re in a dangerous zone.
Dancy did right by his balding head here. The Caesar haircut—which is short all over with bangs in the front—is legitimately having a moment so he looks a stylish dude who knows what’s up. Instead of painstakingly combing his bangs forward to cover his less full spots, he parted his hair, went light on product and left the bangs kind of messed up. This does a good job of concealing some of the hair loss without looking like he’s trying too hard. Finally, his hair is super shiny, which makes him look healthy and young. Bottom line: Your hair should not look like it came out of a spray can.
And finally, don’t make the mistake of thinking that losing your hair means you should grow out what you’ve got. When Dancy’s hair was a bit longer, it actually worked against him.
Donald Trump is also famous for making this mistake, and we know you're not trying to look like Donald Trump.
