Most retired NBA All-Stars spend their down time on the golf course or in a TV studio, but not Baron Davis. Instead, he got himself a jheri curl. Yesterday on ESPN’s First Take he debuted the ’do on a national stage, and Twitter had a field day. But the thing is, Davis is fully aware of his Michael Jackson _Thriller _ hair (or as he’s called them, Rick James curls), and is totally owning the look. If you take look back at Davis’s Instagram posts, he’s even posted selfies at the hair salon, in the dryer chair, completely shameless in his actions. Honestly, even if the look is totally ridiculous, we are fully on board with this swerve if only because he’s so damn unapologetic about it. And, in case you’re wondering, the unofficial slogan of his curl campaign? "Good morning world, good morning curls," as he announced in one Insta vid. Alternatively, we’re really digging "#Runningthroughthecitywithmycurls." Let this be a lesson to everyone out there who’s a little apprehensive about making bold style moves. If Baron can do it with hair straight out of Coming to America, then truly anything is possible.
