Coverage of men's grooming at awards shows like the Emmys usually focuses south of the scalp, calling out the guys who need to get their facial follicles in check (ahem, Mr. Kartheiser). What we noticed last night though was that some gents put in the effort in up top as well, pulling off some envy-educing coiffes. Sure, it's not the first time we've aspired to Jon Hamm's Superman waves but the last time we checked James Van Der Beek was rocking a lion's mane waiting by some river and Max Greenfield's New Girl hair came in one gelled cluster. So consider us appreciative of these three, and many others last night, who brought back the side part. The most classic and eternally gentlemanly of all men's hair styles, when done right it's a look that matches the formality of any tux. Something to consider next time you're dressing up and want to look slick from top to toe.
