This New Face Cream Will Give You the Best Skin of Your Life

I can think of few compliments as flattering as “Your skin looks amazing!” The subtext goes beyond vanity: it's nice to know you're sleeping enough, drinking plenty of water, eating right—or, at least, that you look like you are. And while actually taking good care of yourself is the most important way to good skin, a targeted product or two also helps.

I am personally super splotchy and acne-prone, so a good skin day is a big victory, even after all the products in the world. But now, I’ve got my go-to potion, from a brand-new company: Adipeau’s Active Face Cream. It gives a soft, glow—nothing heavy like that greasy feeling you get from being too oily.

It’s part leave-on face mask, part heavy-duty moisturizer. But given how it makes me look, I’m not about to waste it away on sleep—I’d rather use a dedicated night cream or overnight mask for that. With Adipeau, I want to be seen. I use the same chickpea-sized amount as I do most moisturizers, and apply it uniformly to my face, and a little to the neck. Five minutes later, it’s fully absorbed (You can feel it ever so slightly on the skin, though it still wears light). And my skin is plump—hence the name Adipeau, like fat tissue—and it’s glowing.

It's a reletively heavy product, but while I have oily skin, I’ve yet to have issues with the heavier texture. (The recipe is non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t clog pores). The stuff's not cheap, but if you’re able to wear Adipeau on a daily basis, I say do it. You can ration it for the days you really need a glow up

The product is the brainchild of Ivan Galanin, a scientist whose background is in medicine (his other companies specialize in serious stuff like pediatric disease and colon cancer remedies, of all things). He combined his background with input from his science advisor, plastic surgeon David Tower. So far, this face cream is Adipeau’s only product. It's a remarkable start: As far as I’m concerned (as well as the handful of friends I have already converted), it is the best product in my regimen, period.
