Rob Lowe is as famous nowadays for his ageless appearance as he is for his on-screen performances. The 52-year-old legend even capitalized on his youthful looks by launching a men’s skincare line in 2015. But it wasn’t until his Comedy Central roast this weekend that we noticed that his glowing, sober-for-25-years complexion, fit physique, and on point wardrobe isn’t the only thing helping him earn the reputation for Hollywood’s own Benjamin Button. It’s also his haircut.

Lowe went from having a standard, longer-on-top, shorter on the sides, nothing-to-see-here ‘do, which he sported more or less for years, to a skin-tight fade earlier this year. It’s the kind of cut you see on 18-year-olds at the MTV VMAs, Bachelorette contestants, and legions of young creatives who graduated from college less than a decade ago. Not guys like Lowe, whose sex tape came out when most of us were toddlers. And yet, it’s totally working for him. Compare the pre-fade Lowe to the post-fade Lowe and it’s pretty clear that his new cut is helping him look younger.

The look might be a bit ubiquitous at this point, but imagine what it can do for you.
