It Looks Like Kanye West Is Getting into the Grooming Business

It looks like the next phase of Kanye West's plan for world domination is already taking shape.

According to TMZ — which, by the way, has never been called fake news by the President so you know it's a trustworthy source — Kanye has legally filed documents that reveal his intention to launch a line of "makeup, perfumes, lotions and other cosmetics" under the moniker Donda, the name of his late mother.

After conquering the music industry and his ongoing attempts to be taken seriously as a fashion designer, it seems that West is taking cues from his 19-year-old sister-in-law Kylie Jenner's burgeoning empire Kylie Cosmetics. Not a bad idea: Kylie made an estimated $18 million last year, in part, thanks to her popular makeup line.

And Kanye, who fancies himself a tastemaker, wouldn't be the only famous man launching cosmetics for men — naturally Tom Ford first settled that territory — but he is inline with the whole "gender is just a social construct anyway" trend that has been embraced by progressive young guys like Jaden Smith and Young Thug — who wear whatever the hell they like, even skirts and dresses. Even Covergirl recently brought on a male spokesperson. Times they are a-changin'.

It's no big secret that the grooming world is where a lot of brands make their bread and butter, so it's a savvy business move for Kanye, who just last year, proclaimed that he was $53 million dollars in debt. Worry not: there's a lot of money to be made in fragrance, Ye. And in case you were wondering, cosmetics is just a small piece of West's proposed lifestyle empire, so get ready to drive your Kanye car from your Kanye house to a Kanye restaurant and then et a Kanye steak before hitting the hay in your Kanye sheets in your Kanye bed. Finish it off with a spritz of your favorite Kanye cologne, and you're all set.
