When he first came onto our TV screens, Chris Pratt had curly, strawberry-blonde hair but these days he’s a brunette with that long-on-top cut that’s seems to be required by leading man law (it’s so popular with white dudes now). Except, at the airport yesterday, Pratt was sporting a new cut and color entirely—one that literally no one is rocking. Wet-looking, brassy-blonde, straight-ironed (we think) and with zero fading to speak of, it’s a look that was popular when The Crow was the comic-book remake everyone was talking about. That is, a long time ago. The actor doesn't look bad with his new hair, just...different. Seriously, though, Pratt's new look is a grooming throwback to the '90s and early 2000s. Here's proof:
The gender-neutral cut.
The stiff, gelled texture.
The not-found-in-nature blonde.
Now, we’re fairly certain Pratt’s hair only looks like this because he’s filming the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel. (Nerd editor's note: Even though he didn't sport the same 'do in the franchise's first flick, this hair is truer to the source material.) We just didn't realize space was so far behind us on the grooming trends. Here's hoping the rest of the dudes in the soon-to-be summer blockbuster don't look like this.
