Welcome to another edition of Grooming Gods, a weekly recap of the best men's grooming highs (and sometimes lows) courtesy of our favorite stylish gentlemen across the globe. This week excellent, winter-is-here beards stole the mic away from haircuts for a change. If you haven't already started growing out some scruff, you may very well want to after seeing these well-groomed A-listers.
In his younger days Ricky Martin was the king of frosted tips. Now that he's settled into 40s, he's embraced a more relaxed, more natural approach to grooming. We think Martin has never looked better.
There were a lot of bearded men at this year's Golden Globes. A lot. Jude Law, aging gracefully, owning his hairline and his graying beard, was one of our favorites.
The quickest way to tone down the creepy old man vibe on a graying beard is to follow Jordan Peele's lead here and wear it with a young-guy buzz-cut (and a really nice suit). We especially appreciate the fact that his haircut is super tight while his beard is a little longer and messier. That's the golden grooming ratio you're always aiming for.
Jon Hamm's been loosening up his grooming game over the last year or so, and looking better all the time because of it. He's also one of the only guys we know who looks good through every single stage of the beard-growing process. While you're scratching the hell out of your face during this stage, here's off giving the cameras his best blue steel.
As a professional charmer, The Rock finds a way to make even the most serious things in life seem super chill and fun. Like beards! With a big, wide (and admirably white) smile and a pair of classic shades the actor proves that your beard doesn't have to turn you into Gollum in spirit too.
