It might have had something to do with the hours he spent wearing perm curlers on the set of American Hustle, but when Bradley Cooper showed up to his January cover shoot with short, low-maintenance locks, on-set stylist Johnny Hernandez was an instant fan: "I was shocked at first, but it looks great on him." Here’s how to recreate Cooper’s close crop:
The Cut: Have the stylist use a no. 2 guard on the clippers while trimming the sides and back of hair, and a no 3. on top. "This cut works for anyone at any age," says Hernandez.
The Style: "We’re used to seeing his hair look wet, so we wanted to keep it dry. It’s a much cleaner look," says Hernandez, who distributed a nickel-sized amount of Kevin Murphy’s Night Rider paste throughout the crown of Cooper’s hair for slight texture.
