Jonah Hill's dedication to working out and wearing ridiculously good clothes is why he looks so great these days. But for those of you paying attention (hi, us and teenage girls), you may have noticed that Hill's grooming situation has also been remarkably on point.

On a bad day Hill was always a scruffy dude with questionable beard-lines, and on a good one he rocked the slicked-back high-fade haircut every man in America seemed to have up until recently. Now, though? It's wavy hair FTW—and we think it looks better than any grooming look he's sported before.

What makes it possible for a guy with this hair texture to go wild and free is a really good haircut. You'll notice Hill's hair, while it gets to do whatever it wants on top, is trim on the sides with clean edges. Think: Kramer but with way less sideburn. The effect is DGAF but not in a "I just woke up from a month-long couch nap" kind of way.

A return to messy, natural-texture hair is something we've been seeing a lot of recently on guys of all ethnicities and with all hair types. It's refreshing as hell and make clothes look a lot cooler too. The super-groomed looks that reigned supreme over the last few years were polished for sure, but they did have a way of taking the chill out of things. After all, it's impossible to look like you were born with good style when every hair on your head is positioned just so.

Jonah Hill might be working pretty hard on his outward appearance right now but his willingness to put down the hair-dryer, pomade, and big round brush and just be himself when it comes to his cut is definitely helping to balance things out.
