I’ve missed two P90X workouts this week and am about to miss a third tonight, my first lapses since starting this caaaaa-razy project almost three months ago. It’s not for lack of motivation or a sustained injury or fed-uppedness, but because of Hurricane Sandy. With no power at my Lower East Side apartment, where all of my ercise equipment resides, I’m unable to bask in the warm glow of Tony Horton’s glorious instructional squats. I guess I could ercise in the dark with no video to guide me, but that seems a) dangerous and b) no fun. So for now, I’m putting a hold on P90X until electricity is restored. Fear not: I won’t do some lesser workout in the meantime like running or swimming or playing basketball— that’d through the whole thing off. The ONLY ercise I’d consider at this point is Paul Ryan’s Extreme Budget Shredder, and even that’s a stretch. We’ll return next week with a lengthier and enlightening-as-always post.
